Business Challenge

In February 2026, softologics.pro was earning around 40 Google impressions per week. As an agency selling SEO, our own search visibility had to become the proof: same playbook we sell, applied to ourselves, with the real dashboard published — including the unflattering parts.

Starting Situation

Week of Feb 23, 2026: 43 impressions, 0 clicks. Only 15 of ~50 pages indexed. A misconfigured permanent redirect was silently killing our most important service page, six legacy URLs returned 404s with real Google crawl history, and thousands of corrupted characters (broken em-dashes and symbols) sat in published content.

Strategy

Three tracks run together: (1) technical repair — fix redirects, 404s, duplicate URLs, and structured data before publishing anything new; (2) topical clusters — long-form guides around local SEO and roofing SEO (pillar guides, a city landing page, buyer-intent cost content) instead of scattered posts; (3) authority routing — internal links from the homepage to the highest-potential pages so new content inherits trust.

Implementation

Removed the harmful redirect and 301-redirected 8 dead legacy URLs. Consolidated two competing roofing-SEO URLs into one and rewrote 16 internal links to point at the canonical page. Repaired ~2,850 corrupted characters across 17 files. Published the local SEO and roofing content cluster (guides, city page, storm-season playbook). Merged three competing Organization schema entities into one, and added a 'Popular SEO Guides' homepage section that passes link equity to the strongest guides.

Timeline

February–May 2026: plateau under ~400 impressions/week while foundations were fixed. Week of June 8: the content cluster began ranking — 2,130 impressions. Four weeks later (week of July 6): 10,761 impressions. Total elapsed: about 5 months.

Evidence

All figures from our own Google Search Console property (Performance report, Web search, Feb 25 – Jul 13, 2026; exported Jul 15, 2026). The chart on this page is rendered directly from that export. We publish impressions and clicks — not cherry-picked screenshots.

Key Takeaway

Impressions move before clicks. Fixing technical debt and publishing a focused topic cluster took our visibility from ~6 impressions a day to ~1,500 a day in five months — but average position 44 means the click battle (authority and backlinks) comes next. That's the honest sequence we bring to client campaigns: foundations, then visibility, then rankings.

Results

  • Weekly impressions: 43 → 10,761 (≈250× in 5 months) — Google Search Console, Web search
  • 29,648 total impressions and 119 clicks across the period (CTR is the honest next battle: average position 44.5 means we appear, but on pages 3–5)
  • Site queries ranking: from a handful to 950+ distinct queries, including 'roof replacement cost' (2,500+ impressions) and 'local seo for small business' (1,700+)
  • Homepage ranks position ~7 for brand searches with 10%+ CTR
